The city of Trier is celebrating the eminent philosopher and shedding light on his life, his most important works and the various activities from his time.<\/p>\n<h2>About the project<\/h2>\n<p>This interactive city guide highlights the fascinating sites in the life of Karl Marx in order to make these more visible and easier to understand.<\/p>\n<p>MARX\u2022GUIDE is dedicated to the son of the oldest city in Germany and sheds light on Marx&#8217;s life and activities across Trier. Users can guide themselves through the city on a journey of discovery and track down places of interest which played an important role in Karl Marx&#8217;s life with the help of their smart phone. Audio-guides and historical pictures will give you an impression of Trier life in the 19th Century.<\/p>\n<h2>How it started<\/h2>\n<p>It all came about as a result of cooperation between the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fh-trier.de\/index.php?id=6011\" target=\"_blank\">Hochschule Trier<\/a>, the Karl Marx 2018 \u2013 Exhibition society, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trier-info.de\">Trier Tourism and Marketing Ltd<\/a> and the Society for the Delivery of the Anniversary Programme of Karl Marx Year in Trier.<\/p>\n<h2>Team<\/h2>\n<p>The project was developed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fh-trier.de\/index.php?id=6011\" target=\"_blank\">Hochschule Trier<\/a> in the Design and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intermediales-design.de\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Inter-media Design Faculty<\/a> under the leadership of Marcus Haberkorn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Icons:<\/strong> Jack Hermes, <a href=\"https:\/\/dribbble.com\/shots\/544084-Climacons\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adam Whitcroft (Weather icons)<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Illustration:<\/strong> David Schmitz (Marx portrait)<br \/>\n<strong>Narrators:<\/strong> Steve Adkins (English), Simin Sadeghi (German), Viviane Shabanzadeh (French)<br \/>\n<strong>Photography:<\/strong> Jonas Eiden<br \/>\n<strong>Web design and development:<\/strong> Vadim Bauer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 5th May 2018 it will be Karl Marx&#8217;s birthday for the 200th time.
